Section B. Promotion Requirements
In the Department Of Defense their are multiple promotion requirements for each rank. Below you will see each rank and it's TiS requirement for a promotion. TiS stands for: Time in Service. In order to get promoted everyone must reach this time. If two officers however decide to waive this, you can be promoted to your next rank without waiting on TiS. Please remember TiS is RECOMMENDED and can be waived.

They must add "RV1*" to the start of their motto. They must commit at least 2 hours of work within 7 days. Failure to abide these willr esult in a discharge.

Section D. General Rank Knowledge
Anyone MIDN cannot be given an attention until a rank is given above MIDN. All officers ranked O2+ may have room rights. O1+ if given by the CNO. All ranks should be treated equally and fair. Everyone should follow CoC at all times.
Section E. Work Stations
In DoD, when achieved the rank of E4 (PO3), their are many options available for you. Some are restricted until a further rank. These duties are as followed:
All stations have their responsibilities. The requirement for each one is stated on regulation 8. Procedures: Must be 2 people on front row to assume Quartermaster (which the third person will do) otherwise fill the front. For LDMD two people need to be on front row and a third on QM. for RDMD there needs to be 3 on front row, 1 on QM and 1 on LDMD. DMO's can do their duty when their are 3+ on front row regardless of other area's but are advised to follow HQ protocol in filling up stations which are a priority.

DMD - Duty Management Desk - This is for anyone ranked E7 (CPO). You are in the middle desk located behind front row. Your duty is to host ATE's and training such as Boot Camp. You must manage front desk, using Blue chat and making sure they are motivated and working correctly. As well as managing training such as ATE's and recruitment, you should also check quartermaster and make sure the peoples uniform's are correct especially on front row. You must have completed ATE {J} to have access to this. It is required that 3 people or more are on front row with an active Quartermaster. LDMD will control all ATE's and manage HQ. If RDMD is filled they will not handle ATE's, will instead handle HQ to ensure there are no trolls within HQ and that operations run smooth making it easier for LDMD to control ATE's
DMO - Duty Management Officer - This is for MIDN's (OCS) members and above. In this duty you are standing next to DMD, managing HQ. You mostly keep an eye on Sentry, Front row and recruitment. Make sure to use HC colour chat. As DMD can be very stressful we suggest any officer when their is more than 4 people on front row, to be assuming DMO. You are in charge of making the HQ run smoothly alongside DMD. Because DMD's have a lot of pressure they may get things wrong. You're to fix that. For example, telling someone on front row they need to go train the recruit.
DMOSP - Duty Management Officer Shadow Program - This is when their is an active DMO, a CWO4/5 is next to the officer. CWO4's can only stand their with recommendation from O4+. To get in this program, you will have to apply on the forums. To check if they're in DMOSP, check the DMOSP roster. The duty of the CWO is to gain experience, on how DMO's perform their duties and attempt it themselves.
Quartermaster - This duty is also known as sentry to some. This is open for people ranked E4 and above. Your duty is; to allow people into HQ. Checking their B.U.M - Badge Uniform and Motto, as well as checking PTS. You are to wear a cap at all times/a beret relating to your office. You must also use grey chat at all times. For any unrelated topics to quartermaster you are to switch to white chat. It is required that two or more people are on front row
Basic Training/boot camp - This is where everyone is trained at Enlistment. You are to use Blue text when asking the recruit if he is ready. Use blue and bold during training.
Transfer Desk - Here is where you will be transferring members if you are in NPC. Please use yellow chat.
Hosting an ATE - While hosting an ATE there are some steps to follow such as: using green chat when calling out the ATE. You must also make sure that everyone stays seated until instructed. When they line up, request DMD to grant you access to the ATE. While in the hallway, check the rooms to make sure they're empty. Once checked head back into the hallway and tell them to enter the room. Make sure to use blue chat when hosting.
Section F. Service time
As stated above. you can the the Time in Service for each rank. We award our personnel with gifts when reaching a certain amount of service. After three months of service you are awarded a stripe, which added to your motto looks like (/) and shows other personnel of your time at DoD. As well as this you are awarded a HC box. This is our way of showing gratitude to our members for their long time and loyalty within DoD. After 6 months of service we give a HC box, 30-60c and two service stripes (//). You may also get a promotion from your previous rank. Usually after reaching 9 months of service, 3 service stripes (///) we pick up the rewards, giving 3 months HC, 50C. In the event of someone reaching 12 months of service and four service stripes (////) they get 5 months HC, 100C. When you gain service time it is logged on the PTS, therefore you're more likely to gain promotions and opportunities within the Department of Defense. Who do you see about your service stripes you may ask? You will speak to a leadership member of Navy Personnel Command (NPC), otherwise see the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness (USD P&R).
